Summer tree planting tour
Activities closed! Do you want to reduce your own carbon footprint? With our tour you will learn how to plant trees with few different techniques, and learn how Finnish forestry maintains the forests.
About tour
You are transported near the forest planting area, where you walk into the forest. After a short walk, you will reach the planting area, where the necessary equipment are waiting. A guide speaks about the local nature, Finnish forestry and its history. You are shown two ways to plant seedlings, a traditional shovel pit and more modern way of using a planting-tube. On the tour, a campfire is made, where you can grill sausages. Water or juice is provided for thirst, as well as campfire coffee. At the end of the tour we will give you a certificate of planting trees with the number of seedlings planted by you.
